Mardi Himal Trekking takes you to one of the hidden corners of the massive Annapurna Himalayas. Early explorers and pioneers named the Mardi Himal the ‘Other Sanctuary’. The adventure to Mardi Himal leads on the high ridges of the southern Annapurna Himalayan ranges. The most fascinating walks of less than a week allow trekkers to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. As well as walking on off-the-beaten tracks, away from the mainstream route, towards the high viewpoint of Mardi Himal.

It is an enjoyable and scenic adventure where the views of the snowy mountain ranges of the Annapurna Himalayas remain constant throughout the journey. The adventure to Mardi Himal Trekking begins from the picturesque city of Pokhara, blessed with natural wonders of mountains and lakes. A short drive reaches the foothills and enters the lovely forest of rhododendrons and pine trees. The walk progresses higher following the ridge line toward the destinations at Mardi Himal View Point. Enjoy being on the highest spot of the treks, standing beneath the towering Machhapuchare Himal with Mardi Himal. Mardi Himal at 5,587 m/18,330 feet is a trekking peak, often visited for, climbing by a few groups of trekkers and mountaineers. The Mardi Himal Viewpoint is the best spot for stunning panoramic views and the highest point of the adventure.

After a marvelous experience at Mardi Himal, around the high ridges of the Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Return journey on an alternative route downhill to a farm village at Siding. Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport received by staff and guide and for a short drive to your hotels. Situated in the hub of Kathmandu city, around Thamel an exciting location. After checking into your rooms with refreshment our guides will brief regarding the treks. Evening a welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant to get familiar with the culture and Nepali food.

Morning after breakfast, an exciting tour of Nepalese culture and historical tour around Nepal's landmarks and World Heritage Sites. Rest of the day after an interesting tour, with time for trek preparations.

From the hotel in Kathmandu, transfer to domestic airport for short scenic flight to land at Pokhara. The second largest city after Kathmandu, blessed with natural wonders of mountains and lakes. From Pokhara a short drive for Mardi Himal trekking, a short drive to reach the mid-hills of Annapurna Himalayas. After an hour drive reaching cooler green hills of Dhampus Village, facing grand vista of the Annapurna chain of peaks.

From Dhampus, walk starts on gradual trail through cool shade of forest to Potana. The views of Machhapuchare Himal remains constant, and then few hours of gradual climb to Deurali. A small settlement with serval nice lodges for overnight stop. From the lodge in Deurali enjoy the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. Located on the main trail of Dhampus to Landruk, and Annapurna Base Camp, including the routes to Mardi Himal.

Morning from Deurali, enjoy the breakfast with glorious scenery of rolling green Hills with views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Peaks. The morning walks heads North, on leaving the lodge at Deurali, then enter the rhododendrons and pine forest. The walk continues with gradual ups through dense tree line until Forest Camp is reached for overnight stop.

The trek today walk is quite moderate, but due to gain in altitude makes the walks slower. From Forest Camp, start the morning with climb for few hours through beautiful dense tree lines. Facing occasional views of snow-capped peaks, the climb then finally ends reaching a small settlement at Low Camp. Enjoy the comfort of a nice simple lodge along with the surrounding scenery and views of snow peaks.

After a pleasant walk of previous day, from Low Camp a short distance walk of few hours to High Camp. But the gain in altitude makes the trek quite slower, leaving the Low Camp. The trail climbs steeper on leaving the tree lines behind heading higher past the small settlement of Badal Danda. Then finally the morning walk completes reaching at High Camp, the highest overnight stop of the adventure. At High Camp for lunch and overnight halt, rest of the day marvel the grand scenery of distant hills. Includes the peaks of Annapurna Himalayan ranges towards north.

An early morning starts for the long day hike to Mardi View Point and return walk back to High Camp. Then further down to Badal Camp, after visiting the main highlights of the adventures.

Start the morning heading towards higher ridge to reach Mardi Himal Viewpoint, leads to steep climb for few hours. As the air gets much cooler as you feel the rise in altitude then reach at the final spot. After a short refreshing break to kill the tiredness, then enjoy the spectacular panorama of snowy peaks. Standing on top of Mardi Himal highest viewpoint, and in front of towering Mt. Machhapuchare, the Fish-Tail Peak. Dominates the sky lines and the surrounding southern hills and valleys with views of Mardi Himal.

Mardi Himal located on the southern flanks of Machhapuchare Himal, after a Most exciting experience. Having lunch at Mardi Himal Viewpoint in one of its Small lodge restaurants, then head for the return journey. The walk follows down to High Camp and then further to Badal Danda for the last overnight around high ridge of Mardi Himal.

From Badal Danda, a high ridge remains misty with fog, hence the name as Badal Danda. Enjoy the last day walks of the adventure, as the trail follows to long downhill. The trail leads into dense forest with few gradual sections to enjoy, the walk then finally comes to an end. On reaching at the bottom of the high hill at Siding a farm village. After completing the trek, then enjoy the comfort in a vehicles for short ride back to Pokhara. The drive follows the Mardi River for sometimes, then leaving the river reaching the main highway. As the drive gets better, then reaching the hotel in Pokhara, by the serene Phewa Lake. Enjoy the overnight in Pokhara, with a good dinner to enjoy after a marvelous adventure to Mardi Himal.

Morning with leisure time for breakfast in Pokhara, as time for a short flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to Pokhara airport, board in an aircraft, during flight enjoy the grand panorama of the Himalayan range of peaks. On landing at Kathmandu airport transfer to your respective hotels, rest of the day at leisure.

Last day in Kathmandu and Nepal, after a great experience on Mardi Himal Trekking. As time for the international flight transfer to Kathmandu and Nepal International Airport. Then bid farewell to the guide, staff as you enter the airport terminal for homeward bound flight, or to next port of call.

In early past decades the areas around Mardi Himal, was less known and only few groups of trekkers seldom visited. As well as for the climb of Mardi Himal, but over the years, Mardi Himal has attracted more visitors. This hidden areas, at present getting more popular every seasons of year.

What age group can join for Mardi Himal Trek?

All age group can join on this short and cultural scenic country walks to Mardi Himal. From families with children to elderly people, but all needs to be in good physically shape and in good health. As the walk leads to steep uphill for few hours. On this treks, trekkers do not have to worry about catching High Altitude Sickness.

How are the lodge and foods on Mardi Himal Trek?

At present the areas has become more popular for short moderate adventure. The lodge and food facilities has improved over the past years, due to the flow of trekkers. However, the lodge accommodation is simple and basic but with nice rooms and large cozy dining. All lodges provide common bath and toilets, due to the cold temperatures in the morning and night time.

The food according to the menu from Nepali famous Dal Bhat, Tibetan, Indian and  Chinese dishes. Including continental like Pizza and pasta, serves good breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner.

Are there facilities of electricity and internets, WI-FI?

All lodges, have electricity run by Hydro or Solar Powers. Trekkers can enjoy the facilities, charging electronic items, as well with Internet and Wi-Fi services. But some smaller places like Tadapani the internet and WI-FI, are quite slow and disturbing. Due to weather and landscape wise, other places runs well with cell phone or internets.
