It falls in the district of Kaski and the Gandaki Zone around North Mid-West Nepal.

The Annapurna Himalaya is a massive range of peaks with Annapurna-I, Vara-Shikar/ Annapurna Fang. Include Annapurna South, Huin-Chuli, Gangapurna Himal, Annapurna II-III, and IV, with Mt. Machhapuchare, the Fish-Tail Peak. As well as smaller satellite Peaks with Tent Peak or Tharpu Chuli and Fluted Peak/ Singu Chuli.

Best Seasons For Annapurna Base Camp Trekking:

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking visitors can enjoy nearly all seasons of the year. Excluding, the wet monsoon season during mid-summer of June to August. The best seasons are spring and autumn/ fall, which are the most favorable time, to venture around the Himalayas.

Spring season begins in March and ends in May when days are longer with sunlight hours. It can get cloudy in the late afternoon sometimes with chances of light rains or snowfall. Cold morning, evening, and nighttime above 2,000 meters high, especially from Chomrong to Annapurna Base Camp.

Spring is the right time to enjoy the walks, with wildflowers in seasonal bloom. The hills will be bright with rhododendrons flowers of various species and colors, from tall trees to bushes. 

The next best season is autumn/fall, with sunshine for views and walks. 
It can get cloudy sometimes during the afternoon, with chances of snowfall, and get dark soon. The sunlight starts in the late morning from 6:30 a.m. and lasts till 5 p.m. Cold morning, late afternoon, and nighttime from 1,800 m above.
But the days are clear for views and pleasant walks during the autumn season. 

Interested trekkers can enjoy the treks to Annapurna Base Camp, during winter times also. Most days with crystal clear blue sky for views and scenic walks, get dark soon by 5:30 p.m. But freezing temperatures in the morning, late afternoon, and at night around Chomrong and en route to Annapurna Base Camp.

    Itinerary

    On arrival at Kathmandu international airport received by staff and guide and for a short drive to your hotels. Situated in the hub of Kathmandu city, around Thamel an exciting location. After checking into your rooms with refreshment our guides will brief regarding the treks. Evening a welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant to get familiar with the culture and Nepali food.

    Morning after breakfast, an exciting tour of Nepalese culture and historical tour around Nepal's landmarks and World Heritage Sites. Rest of the day after an interesting tour, with time for trek preparations.

    Leaving early morning for Annapurna Base Camp trekking, on an overland journey to reach scenic Pokhara. A city, blessed with nature of rolling green hills and lakes, in the close shadow of Annapurna Himalaya with majestic Machhapuchare "Fish Tail". Drive takes about 5-6 hours to cover 220 k.m. distance to reach Pokhara, and then transfer to a nice hotel, by the Phewa Lake.
    Traveling by air, which is 30 mins panoramic flight with grand views of the Himalayan all the way until it lands at Pokhara.

    Morning a short drive of few hours to Nayapul, from here the drive leads on rough country dirt tracks. Heading past lovely Bhirethati village, as the drive leads up on winding road to reach Ghandruk village. One of the largest settlement of the Gurung people, the main hill tribes of the Annapurna region.
    The Gurung follows Buddhist religion as well as Bon, the ancient pre-sect of Buddhism. At Ghandruk enjoy the comfort of a nice lodge with a views of Annapurna peaks. Afternoon free to explore around this lovely village and the museum to witness Gurung history and culture.

    Catching the morning views of Annapurna, walk leads up towards Kimrong Danda (ridge) and then descend to Kimrong river valley. Stopping here for lunch, and then the afternoon trail leads to a steep climb for few hours.
    Then the walk leads on gradual path with stone paved trail and downhill to Chomrong for overnight stop. Chomrong is the last permanent Gurung village, from here towards Annapurna Base Camp are temporary settlements.

    From Chomrong walk downhill past terraced farm fields to Chomrong Khola.
    After crossing a small bridge, climb leads for an hour to Sinuwa-Danda a small place with few nice lodges. After a short rest or for lunch break, continue walk into cool dense forest to reach Bamboo. A small settlement with several lodges, this place Bamboo stands above Modi River amidst bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest. After Bamboo an hour climb to Dovan for overnight stop, located in a gorge of a Modi River.

    From here onward the air gets more cooler as morning walks proceeds towards Machhapuchare Base Camp en route Annapurna Sanctuary.
    The trail heads ups and to Himalaya Hotel, located by the large Hinko Cave beneath the Huin Chuli Peak.
    The walks head down close to Modi River, then short climb to Deurali for lunch stop. From here the tree lines drops for short bushes and shrubs, afternoon walk
    continues crossing the Modi River. Then with slow gradual climb above the river
    to reach Machhapuchare Base Camp for overnight halt. Also called as MBC for short, a small settlement with few good lodges, stands beneath the
    Mt. Machhapuchare North Face. As well with views of Annapurna-I with Annapurna South and Huin Chuli. Transfer into a nice lodge for afternoon tea and dinner.

    Morning enjoy the views of the Annapurna Peak, after breakfast, a short morning walk to Annapurna base camp. Starts with short climb on a grassy hill slopes to reach the high plateau to enter Annapurna Sanctuary. The walk follows with gentle up to reach Annapurna Base Camp for lunch and overnight halt.
    At ABC check into a fine good lodge, after lunch explore the scenic surroundings enclosed by arrays of snow peaks. A marvelous spot to enjoy the whole afternoon with glorious scenery beneath the towering Annapurna-I and Vara Shikhar Himal.

    After an enjoyable time at Annapurna Base Camp, around the sanctuary, as well as the main highlight of the adventure. Depart from the lodge after breakfast with stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. The trail follows on the same route, down to MBC and towards Deurali. Then with few short ups and down following a gradual winding trail back into green forested area to Bamboo for the overnight stop. A nice and pleasant spot amidst green bamboo and rhododendron forest surroundings.

    From Bamboo a short steep climb to Khuldi Ghar, then downhill through forest to reach Sinuwa-Danda. After a short rest downhill to Chomrong Khola, then start the last climb of the day to Chomrong village. Stopping for lunch, afternoon walk with short up, then downhill to Jhinu-Danda for overnight stop.
    A small village with number of good lodge, after checking into the rooms,
    enjoy short walk to the hot springs. Located down from Jhinu Lodge nearby the Modi River.

    Leaving the hills of Annapurna Himalayas, walk across the bridge to the road-head
    for few hours drives to Pokhara. The road follows through Bhirethati and Nayapul
    to join the main Pokhara and Baglung, Beni Highway. After few hours of exciting
    drive reach Pokhara, then transfer into the nice hotels. Afternoon explore the
    lakeside lined with fancy shops and restaurants.

    Morning with leisure time for breakfast in Pokhara, as time for a short flight to
    Kathmandu. Transfer to Pokhara airport, board in an aircraft, during flight enjoy
    the grand panorama of the Himalayan range of peaks. On landing at Kathmandu
    airport transfer to your respective hotels, rest of the day at leisure.

    Last day in Kathmandu and Nepal, after a great experience on Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. As time for the international flight transfer to Kathmandu and Nepal International Airport. Then bid farewell to the guide, staff as you enter the airport terminal for homeward bound flight, or to next port of call.

    Do we need permits for Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

    The permits required for this short scenic adventure are TIMS (Trekking Information Management Systems). Includes ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) permits, which will be obtained by the local company.
    When you book for this trek, the permits will be ready by the time you depart for the treks.  

    What age group can join for Annapurna Base Camp trek?

    All age group can join on this short and cultural scenic country walks to
    Ghorepani and Poon Hill. From families with children to elderly people, but all needs to be in good physically shape and in good health. As the walk leads to

    steep uphill for few hours. On this treks, trekkers do not have to worry about catching High Altitude Sickness.

    Nearly all the villages and lodges, have electricity run by Hydro or Solar Powers. Trekkers can enjoy the facilities, charging electronic items, as well with Internet and Wi-Fi services. But some smaller places like Tadapani the internet and WI-FI, are quite slow and disturbing. Due to weather and landscape wise, other places runs well with cell phone or internets.
